A rather belated thank you to all those that were part of the Bake-Off this year!
For me personally, when the idea was formed in November 2011, I didn’t imagine the response I would get and how behind the idea Oxford’s bakers would be!
Thanks to all the stallholders (a special mention to Kookie Crumbles and Crafty Chai for having their first stall ever – many more to come I am sure!). I also couldn’t have done it without all the amazingly generous prize donors, all the judges and the Mogford Group for giving it their backing.
But the biggest thanks has to go to the contestants for bringing the bakes (and also for all the late-night practicing… I had many a 4am email)! You were all fab and maybe you would come to my house and bake me things, pretty please?
Check out this video too created by Oxbox.
We raised over £1000 for the charities and hope to hit ovet £2000 when we’ve finished selling our Bake-Off books! You can order your copy right now, only £5 and you get 22 bloomin fab recipes from baking legends, like Ina Garten of Barefoot Contessa and Claire O’Connell from Pop Bakery (plus local baking legend, Hannah Crowder of Oxford Cupcakes fame)
Big baking love,
