We now only have spaces in bread and pastry. Sorry but we have had to close all other categories.
Entry is open to all (amateur) home bakers of any skill level. We simply want to share the love of home-baked goodness in Oxfordshire!
Once you’ve applied, we’ll send you everything you need to know for the big day, but the most important piece of the puzzle is that you will bake in advance, in the comfort of your lovely kitchen, and bring your entries along with you on the day (before 11:30am).
Step 1: Pick your categories
We have 10 categories to choose from and you can see them here. You can enter as many categories as you like.
Step 2: Fill out your application form
Step 3: Make your donation
Entry to the competition is £5 for one category, or £10 for three categories. Entry for a junior is £3 and you can enter as many categories as you like (cupcakes, biscuits and traybake). Your entry fee will go to the very amazing charities Oxfam and Helen & Douglas House.
There are three ways to donate:
#1 Donate on our online giving page – http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/Oxfordbakeoff
#2 Donate by text – Simply text BAKE48 plus the amount to 70070 – once you’ve donated you will be given the option to include Gift Aid (if you are a UK taxpayer) and to fill in your name and message.
#3 Donate by cheque – If you would like to donate via cheque, please make this out to one of the charities (your choice) and send to Oxfordshire Bake Off, 64A Burwell Drive, Witney, OX28 5LY.
Try to make sure you leave your name with your donation. If you don’t manage to do then don’t fret, just drop us an email and we’ll be able to match your donation to your application.
When you fill out your application, if you give us your address and an extra £1 donation we’ll also send you the Oxfordshire Bake Off book in the post.
Step 4: Over to us now
Once we’ve checked your application and received your donation, we’ll be in touch to confirm your place in the competition. This could take up to 5 days, but we’ll try to get in touch much sooner.
We’ve tried to make entry as simple as possible, but if you do get confused and just want to enter by talking to a real human being you can email Kate on email@example.com.
