Saturday October 5th, Oxford High School, 11am-4pm.
Baking tins and whisks at the ready, the Oxfordshire Bake Off is back with ten categories of home-baked goodness to enter! We’re raising dough for two charities close to the heart of Oxford – Helen & Douglas House and Oxfam.
Entry to the competition has now closed, but we still need cake lovers to come help us eat all the baked wonders…
We’ve got loads to keep the whole family amused all day including food & craft stalls, cake decorating workshops, a tea room with vintage tea dance music, a live swing band and the chance to scoff yourself silly in our bake sale where all the competition entries will be available to buy. To keep the kids amused, we’ve got cake decorating, gingerbread house building, craft activities and some cake-themed live storytelling. Entry to the event is open to the general public and is a suggested donation of £1.
Those entering will bring their cakes to Oxford High School on Saturday 5th October, dropping off your baked wonders by 11:30am. There’s more info here on what to expect on the day and timings.
We must also thank our brilliant partners, Carter Jonas and FWP Matthews because, thanks to their support, more of what we raise goes directly to our charities.
(Whilst we are huge fans, this event is not affiliated with the BBC Great British Bake Off.)
I’m not baking part, but I drew a cartoon for the occasion:
